10 ways to start loving yourself the way you deserve to be loved

Updated: Oct 18, 2019

1) Start with self love. . .start taking care of Ur-self so that you feel balanced and fulfilled from within, without needing love from without.

2) Take control of your thoughts. . . learn the difference between thoughts and intuition. . .often times we have thoughts that generate fear through our emotions that cause us unnecessary stress from things that 85% of the time don't even happen. It's our brain over working memorizing all that has once affected us. Our brain picks up on any similarities of past events that have hurt us or scared us, it automatically registers these feelings of fear as a way of protecting us, sending us into fight or flight, from 0-100 when in most cases the level of reaction is "NOT" required.

3) Realize that pain is your friend . . .Our bodies try to run away from pain, however pain is a very vital important part of living, personal growth, mental growth, emotional growth, physical growth and everyday life. On the other side of pain and discomfort is the reward! Just like a hard workout at the gym, an exam or any performance, fear always hits just before. Even the pain of separation, or simply doing the right thing at times can bring a measure of discomfort, however there is great satisfaction in going through this pain to achieve your goals. "don't be afraid of pain", it's inevitable, this type of suffering is a sacrifice for success! Choose wisely.

4) Go outside your comfort zones . . .What is your comfort? Procrastination, food, complacency, shying away from people, places or projects? The instant gratification of comfort situations can be more damaging than we anticipate. Push through your comfort zone. . .ask Ur-self how can this help me in the long run?

5) Reactive vs Proactive . . .On a daily basis, how many times do we react to situations, friends, our family, co-workers or strangers, our actions are on autopilot, and often times we jeopardize relationships that mean a lot to both parties. . .them and us! Numerous benefits derive from simply taking our time to respond, . . . to an email that might normally enrage us, a frustrating phone call, or a rude encounter. It is always important to respond from a place of love, allow yourself to calm down, the other person may be going through something, then proactively respond to the situation. . .it has great benefits for everyone involved!

6) See the lesson in everything and practice letting go. . .Everything in life comes to us for a purpose. Look for the meaning in it, what is the lesson in it for you? What have you to learn from unpleasant experiences that leave a bitter taste in your mouth? I'll tell you what I've learned, I have learn to spit them out! In other words . . .I've learned to let them go!!! I learned to let them go by "CHANGING MY MIND" (how i feel/think)about it! Realizing that "Forgiveness is Freedom" I've been able to move on, with knowledge and wisdom to the next level. Be productive, apply the lesson and grow in love.

7)Tune into your body . . .Our body is communicating with us each and every single moment, What is our body telling us? Our body, within itself, is the most intelligent, self-functioning, self-healing miracle machine ever created. Moreover our soul and our body are perfectly intertwined with each-other. Just like the symptoms of a cold or flu, when your heart is racing, or your feeling tired, or run down, your body is trying to tell you rest. Observe yourself and listen to your body. Some people have to adopt stronger habits than others to go against what "runs in the family" but it's the soul telling us through our body that we need to change our habits. Illness is "NOT" a punishment, it is our body communicating with us, signaling the true need of our soul. Pay Attention!

8) Do more things that truly excite you. . .Positive energies that are sent through our body by endorphins that are created by excitement spark inspiring creativity! Nobody knows what excites you but you! Doing things that you truly love will make your heart shine bright and enrich the quality of your life. Embrace what makes you happy and live your best life!

9) Share your time with people around you . . .with today's technology we can easily get caught up in the electronics of communication ignoring the people around us. With Social Media along with the hundreds of other apps and games on our phones, and running within our busy schedules, we can unintentionally forget the importance of being present for the people around us. Human interaction with family, friends, co-workers or the person next to you can mean the difference between daylight and darkness in someones life. . .especially yours. Give a smile to a stranger, a kind word to a friend, create family time. Your life will be enriched with love and gratification!

10) Communicate fearlessly and kindly . . .Communication is probably the most important quality ever! The relationship we have with ourselves and others will either benefit or suffer because of our means of communication. The Bible reads, "COME LET US REASON TOGETHER" and "OF ALL THY GETTING GET UNDERSTANDING" Messages are relayed in many different languages. . .especially body language! Confidence and Kindness goes hand in hand, Think, Speak, Do and Walk in Love. . .the Rewards are Endless!
